Chicken Squares - Favorite Recipes From Our Best Cooks



1 (3 oz) package cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons melted margarine
2 cups cooked, cubed chicken or turkey
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon chopped onion
1 tablespoon chopped pimiento, optional

Blend cream cheese and margarine until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.

Separate one 8 ounce container of crescent rolls into 4 rectangles. Seal perforations. Spoon 1/2 cup of chicken mixture onto crescent roll.

Pull 4 corners of the rectangle dough to center to seal.

Brush tops with 1 tablespoon of melted margarine. Dip into or sprinkle on top -- crushed seasoned croutons or bread crumbs. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 for 20 - 25 minutes.

Makes 4 servings.
