Garlicky Potato Chips - America's Best Recipes Cookbook

4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter
4-7 teaspoons minced garlic
10 ounce bag potato chips, preferably thick cut
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Melt the butter in a small skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook, stirring frequently, just until it has softened but not browned, about 5 minutes.

Gently toss the garlic butter with the potato chips in a large bowl, coating each chip as best you can. Add salt - be careful, many chips are quite salty already - and pepper and toss again.

Arrange chips in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake until fragrant and golden, 4-7 minutes. Serve hot.

Serves about 10.
