Creamy Waldorf Salad - Southern Living 1987 Annual Recipes


1 (3oz) package cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons orange juice or pineapple juice
3 large apples, cubed
1 (8oz) can pineapple tidbits, drained
2 tablespoons chopped celery
2 tablespoons chopped pecans
2 tablespoons raisins
Leaf lettuce

Combine cream cheese, sugar, and juice in a small bowl; stir well, and set mixture aside.

Combine remaining ingredients except lettuce in a medium bowl.Add cream cheese mixture to apple mixture; toss gently. Cover and chill. Toss again before serving. Serve in lettuce-lined bowl.
Makes 6-8 servings.
