Simple Salisbury Steak - Lighten Up!!

1 (10 3/4 ounces) can Campbell's Healthy Request condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 pound ground sirloin
1/3 dry bread crumbs
1/4 cup fat-free egg substitute
1/2 cup finely chopped onions
1/4 cup nonalcoholic beer, beef broth, or water (optional)
1 1/2 cups (about 4 ounces) sliced mushrooms

In a large bowl, mix 1/4 cup of the condensed soup, the ground sirloin, bread crumbs, egg substitute, and 1/4 cup of the onions. Shape firmly into 6 oval patties, about 1/2 inch thick.

Coat a large nonstick skillet with nonstick cooking spray. Cook the patties over medium heat, turning once for 10 - 12 minutes, or until browned on both sides; add the beer if necessary to prevent sticking. Remove the patties from the pan and set aside.

Add the mushrooms and the remaining soup and onions to the pan and heat to boiling. Return the patties to the pan, reduce the heat to low, cover, and cook for 10 minutes, or until the patties are cooked through, stirring occasionally.

Makes 6 servings.
