Family - Favorite Stew - Simple Winter Meals



1 pound ground beef or ground turkey
2 cups water
2 cans (14 1/2 ounces each) diced tomatoes in herbs and olive oil, undrained
1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
1 bag (1 pound) frozen cauliflower, carrots and pea pods (or other combination)
2 1/4 cups Bisquick
2/3 cup milk
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Heat oven to 425 degrees. Cook beef in ovenproof 4-quart Dutch oven over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until brown; drain. Stir in water, tomatoes, tomato paste and vegetables. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.

Mix Bisquick, milk and parsley until soft dough forms. Drop dough by 6 spoonfuls onto beef mixture.

Bake uncovered 20-25 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown and stew is bubbly.

Makes 6 servings.
