Chocolate Upside Down Cake - Goal Scorers and Gourmets



1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons cocoa
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

Sift flour, sugar, baking soda, salt and cocoa together. Melt butter then add to milk and vanilla. Stir into dry ingredients. Pour into ungreased 8x8 inch pan.

Topping:
2 tablespoons cocoa
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cups boiling water

Mix together cocoa and sugar. Sprinkle over cake. Gently pour boiling water over all. Bake at 325 degrees for 45-60 minutes. Serve warm from oven with ice cream.
